Turns out you need android 4 for Snapseed, and HTC never bothered to go beyond gingerbread with my Desire-Z. Foo!!!

@jajuntun HTC Desire Z has MIUI (gingerbread), rooted, Nexus 7 official latest stock ROM + root.
